March 22

Next Mid-Michigan Genealogical Society meeting 22 March, 6:30pm, business, then program presenter – Dan Earl, “Ancestors in Context: Putting History in your Family History”, as this will be our new meeting location, then depending on the time we can mingle afterwards and use the Family History Center resources.

April 26

Business, 6:30 pm then program, to 9pm.

May 24
Business 6:30 meeting & announcements;

Program Topic: Genealogical Trivia (game – test your knowledge)
presented by:Ken Howe;
Topic: Short introduction to the resources at the FHC for searching your French-Canadian ancestors in Quebec presented by: Jim LaLone.

June 28
The next MMGS meeting is Wednesday, 26 June.
Program: Media on Ancestry & Family Search,
Presented by Gail Metz.

Program Topic: We will be talking about the Statewide Naturalization Indexing Project on FamilySearch.

November Because of Thanksgiving the meeting is being held Nov. 15, 2017, 7 pm to 10 pm.

Program Topic:  Think tank session on brickwalls, learn new sources and learn techniques for improving your research. Also celebrate your ancestors by bringing a dish to pass representing an ethnic dessert or snack of your ancestor (no tea or coffee).

Free and open to the public.
